| 1. Why XStart use approximately 24MB of RAM? The new .NET Technology of Microsoft allocates differently the memory usage than previous technologies. The memory is automatically managed by the .NET Framework. By default every .NET applications use around 24MB of RAM if available. The new concept is to dedicate more memory for increase the speed and the performance. When Windows or others applications need more memory, the .NET Framework immediately reduce their usage. Click here for more information. 2. Why appears the error message "Failure to start this shortcut." when I click on the XStart shortcuts? There are some utilities that propose the setting "Remove arrow symbol on shortcuts". This option modify basic Windows settings that prevent the shortcuts component (ListView) of the Microsoft .NET Framework to work properly. To solve this problem, please change back this setting or click here to download the patch. |
